Meet the team
Newport Now is managed on a day-to-day basis by Kevin Ward. Kevin is the former editor of the South Wales Argus and has lived in Newport for almost 30 years. A city centre resident, Kevin runs his own media consultancy business and is a director/trustee of Newport Live and the Kaleidoscope Project. He is a Newport County AFC shareholder and season ticket holder. He can be contacted on 07824 472543 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org
Tony provides administrative assistance to the Newport Now manager. A native of Newport, Tony had a long career managing a number of pubs in the city and also worked around the world on cruise ships.
Our Ambassadors provide a visible and reassuring presence patrolling the Newport Now BID area daily, liaising directly with businesses, local authorities, the police, other agencies, city centre workers and visitors.
The Newport Now board consists of a variety of business and community representatives, from both national and independent businesses. It also includes one elected member of the city council, the organisation that collects the BID levy.
