Open meeting and BID AGM

The first of Newport Now BID's biannual open meetings for levy payers takes place on Tuesday, February 25, at Le Pub from 5.30pm.

There will be a free drink on arrival at the High Street venue for attendees and, as it will be Shrove Tuesday, there will be pancakes!

Next week's meeting will also include the BID's annual general meeting, at which the BID Board will need to be elected and the company accounts for 2018-19 approved.

The majority of the current Board of Directors are standing for re-election but there will be at least three vacancies. Any BID member interested in standing for the Board should contact our manager Kevin Ward here by 5pm on Friday, February 21. The minimum time commitment required of directors is attendance at six Board meetings a year.

The open meeting will include presentations from senior officers from Newport City Council and Gwent Police, both of whom work in partnership with the BID on city centre matters.

There will also be a presentation from the BID team, detailing our plans for 2020-21 - the first of a new five-year term for Newport Now following our successful renewal ballot last year.
